Over the years, artist and collector Lee Shulman has rescued thousands of anonymous color slides, snapshots of everyday life, family vacations, birthday parties, fleeting expressions frozen in time. In Golden Memories, he transforms a selection of these forgotten moments into luminous objects of contemplation by printing them on gold leaf.
Each photograph becomes a small, glowing icon. Light shimmers on the fragile surface; the image hovers between presence and absence. As we gaze, we are invited to slow down, to look closer, and to recognise something of ourselves in the lives of strangers.
